A Big Life: Celebrating Oktoberfest 
 
You don't have to be German to throw a great party around this holiday. Here are some of Sissy's tips for your own, personal Oktoberfest:
  1. Don't always match like with like. Matching lighter beers with lighter foods and heavier beers with heavier foods is not a hard-and-fast rule.
  2. It's better to serve beers that are lower in alcohol with first courses, and keep the old ales or imperial stouts for the end of the meal.
  3. Stick to small portions of beer - many chefs suggest about four ounces per course.
