The new movie "Spring Breakers" is sure to give fans of Selena Gomez and Vanessa Hudgens at least a mild shock: It's about four wild and crazy college girls who get busted for robbing a restaurant to fund their spring break.

To say the least, it's an un-Disney choice for two actresses best known for wholesome fare.

After all, Gomez got her start on "Barney," got famous from "Wizards of Waverly Place" and got even more famous with movies like "Ramona and Beezus."

Hudgens, meanwhile, became famous with "High School Musical" -- and briefly scandalous for some unfortunately leaked intimate cellphone pictures.

Will people buy these two cuties in a pair of edgy roles? If the movie is good, absolutely.

While the road to Hollywood is paved with the crushed bones, hearts and other essential bits of child stars who didn't quite make the transition, there are plenty who managed.

"Spring Breakers" is out in theaters in limited release Friday, March 15 and out in theaters nationwide, Friday, March 22.
