Sometimes you want to watch a sophisticated, literate film about the
emotional quandaries of an upper-class British family. Sometimes you want to be
absorbed in a heartwarming tale of star-crossed lovers seeking to make their
romance work out. And sometimes you just want to watch crap get blown up.
There have been plenty of great action movies made over the years that
combine a solid story with fantastic testosterone sequences. Sometimes, though,
a film that tosses aside story, logic and intelligence for sheer brashness and
brutality can be just what the doctor ordered. With "Battleship" looming on the
horizon, MSN takes a look at 10 kick-ass movies that are big, loud and generally
dumb. But we love watching them anyway.
