Performing at the Japan Concert
Cocco, a female pop singer who has been making hit records
for more than a decade, hails from Okinawa. Her first release was in 1996 with
the "Cocco" EP and was followed by three hit records: 1998's "Kumuiuta," 2000's
"Rapunzel" and 2001's "Sanguroozu." For a few years she focused on her artwork,
a collection of which, "Minami no Shima no Hoshi no Suna," was published in
2002. She began singing again in 2004, collaborating with the group Quruli, and
released a new album, "Zaisaian," in 2006.
