Performing at the Germany Concert
A crazy mixture of hip-hop and pop, Lotto King Karl is Hamburg's favorite musical son. Karl is a
bit of an institution in northern Germany, playing more than 200 shows a year,
singing songs from hit records such as 2006's "Ikarus" and 2001's "Red Shift."
He is perhaps best known as a walking jingle-factory for his hometown, with
"Hamburg, Meine Perle" and "Hamburger Jungs, Hamburger Jungs, Wir Sind Alle
Hamburger Jungs," which, loosely translated, means "Hamburg Boys, Hamburg Boys,
We're All Hamburg Boys."
