"American Inventor"
8 p.m., ABC
Grouch extraordinaire Simon Cowell and the producers behind "American Idol" present this new reality series for ABC, which will (hopefully) uncover the hottest new product in the United States -- and make one struggling inventor's dream come true. Hosted by Matt Gallant ("The Planet's Funniest Animals"), the show follows four judges -- entrepreneurs and marketing executives among them -- as they scour the country through open casting calls. After they choose a group of finalists, each will be given $50,000 with which to develop and refine their product. Ultimately, someone will go home with a $1 million prize and the chance at offering Americans the next must-have consumer item.

"The Loop"
8:30 p.m., FOX
"The Loop" makes its time-period premiere tonight as Sam (Bret Harrison) relishes the challenge of creating a low-cost airline for their company for his boss Russ (Philip Baker Hall). It's a prestigious assignment that's sure to keep Sam on his co-workers' bad side. D'oh! Meanwhile Lizzy's (Sarah Mason) friend Jenna (guest star Rachel Boston, "American Dreams") -- a V.P. ("veteran partier") for a tequila company -- tries to convince Sam to compete against her in a tequila challenge. Sam is determined to excel at both, but Jenna's persuasiveness lands him on the beach in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, the morning his presentation to Russ is due.

"ER"
10 p.m., NBC
What's the haps at County General? Weaver (Laura Innes) contemplates hip replacement surgery after she finds it hard to do her labor-intensive job, while Kovac (Goran Visnjic) tries to ease Abby's (Maura Tierney) fears about raising a child together. Meanwhile, Neela (Parminder Nagra) decides to attend a support group for military spouses -- but when she offers her opinions on the war, the meeting turns into a debate. Isn't that always the way? And after Sam (Linda Cardellini) treats a fainting victim named Richard Elliot (guest star Armand Assante, "Judge Dredd"), she finds herself with an intriguing job offer.

"College Basketball: NCAA Tournament -- First Round"
Noon, CBS (Check local listings)
It's officially March Madness -- the time of year when college basketball fans all over the country (nay, the world!) get their fill of the best college hoops and scope out the newest "phenoms" surely headed to the NBA. The first round tips off at noon ET, with a prime-time block of hoops heaven following at 8 p.m.

"Will & Grace"
8 p.m., NBC
A nervous but optimistic Grace (Debra Messing) decides it's time to tell Leo (returning guest star Harry Connick Jr.) she's pregnant with his child, but when she finally works up the courage, she receives some unexpected news. Meanwhile, Karen (Megan Mullally) grows jealous over the good fortunes of her friends.

"The O.C."
9 p.m., FOX
Ryan (Benjamin McKenzie) struggles with the decision of whether to invite Marissa (Mischa Barton) to his birthday party while Sandy (Peter Gallagher) contemplates inviting one of Ryan's relatives to the celebration. Later, Julie (Melinda Clarke) and Dr. Roberts (Michael Nouri) finally come clean to their respective daughters.

"Lil' Kim: Countdown to Lockdown"
9:30 p.m., BET
In case you've been living under a rock -- or you just don't follow celebrity-related court proceedings -- rapper (and fashion victim) Lil' Kim began serving a prison term for perjury last fall. This new BET show follows the star as she prepares for her stint in the pokey.
