Year in Undressed!

Kaleidoscope Guise: Plenty of professions have a uniform requirement: policemen, pilots, nurses, soldiers -- heck, even clowns -- dress a certain way to go to work. Turns out some pop stars do, too. For a red-carpet appearance in London, Christina Aguilera climbs into her usual on-the-job ensemble: untold layers of war paint, gallons of peroxide, and a garish getup, which in this case means airtight leather pants, Barney-colored YSL peep-toe platforms and a Pucci top covered in what's either a '70s-era TV test pattern from the Emergency Broadcast System or a Busby Berkeley musical number as viewed through a kaleidoscope while in a chemically altered state. But unlike most uniform wearers, the subtlety-free chanteuse can't simply slip into comfy clothes and kick back at the end of a long, hard day. First, she must endure a painful de-Aguilera-izing process, which involves not only taking a direct hit to the face from a pressure washer, but also breathing in plenty of wooziness-inducing fumes from the many cans of WD-40 necessary to pull her free from her snug sartorial prison.
