Happy birthday, Miley, Madonna and Mickey! This year some of our favorite
stars celebrated milestone birthdays, whether they became legal to drive, legal
to drink, or legal to say they were newly nonagenarian. In case you weren't
invited to the first party, join us for this special year-end tribute to
everyone who had a significant birthday this year. And remember: You have to
blow out all the candles.

24: I know it feels like we've been celebrating this Sweet Sixteen all
year, but seriously, why not? Cyrus is the biggest little star since Shirley
Temple, though she's growing up fast. Witness her grown-up portraits in Vanity
Fair (which were, honestly, not revealing or even sexy -- just moodily pretty)
and her calm comportment at the Country Music Awards. Now she's spending
time with a big boy and has her TV show, film roles and concert appearances
galore to look forward to. Now that is the best of both worlds.
