Cameron Diaz and John Mayer continue to make beautiful music
together. A spywitness tells People the lanky twosome, who were first spied looking cozy last week in New York, were
"all over each other" and "super-flirty" while making the scene at New York's
Bowery Hotel on Friday night. Diaz, 34, and Mayer, 29, "were laughing and
talking a lot" as they snuggled up on a sofa out on the patio, where they were
served "several rounds of drinks." A source close to the former floppy-haired
flame of Jessica Simpson tells the mag the two are indeed a
fledgling item, proclaiming, "Yes, it's definitely true."
Meanwhile, is Diaz ex Justin Timberlake trying to have his ridiculously hot cake
and eat it too? The New York tabloids claim the crooner beau of Jessica Biel was bringing sexy back en masse last
week as he chatted up a bevy of beauties at a New York shindig to celebrate
his HBO concert special. The New York Daily News reports he had "six women"
circling him at the soiree, although a dark-haired lovely who resembled his ex,
Jenna Dewan, "seemed to hold his interest."
Meanwhile, the New York Post says he was "sitting with a bronze-skinned brunette
with long brown hair all night at a cocktail table near the dance floor" at the
bash. "They were obviously into each other," a conclusion-leaping eyewitness
contends to the paper. "It was just the two of them ... he had no entourage at
all." Meanwhile, an insider pipes in that Timberlake is "notorious" for his --
how do we put this delicately? -- less than discriminating courting practices.
As usual, the chart-topper's rep refused to comment on his private life.
Reese Witherspoon is soaking up the New England
scenery during a summer sojourn in Martha's Vineyard with her kids, but is she
also getting in some quality time with rumored-to-be-rekindled squeeze Jake Gyllenhaal? That's the word from the Boston
Herald, which reports the "Rendition" co-stars have been relaxing with Reese's
doppelganger tykes, Ava, 7, and Deacon, 3. The comely Oscar winner, 31, is said
to be staying with pals, while Gyllenhaal, 26, is reportedly crashing at his
family's house on the island.
Meanwhile, Us Weekly is convinced Ryan Phillippe is fuming over his
estranged wife's coziness with the dreamy-eyed actor. "Ryan is pissed about
Jake," a source close to the actor tells the mag, alleging he sniped to Reese
"he didn't want 'that guy' around their kids then made some crude 'Brokeback Mountain' remark." Phillippe, for his part, is
supposedly back in the company of Australian actress Abbie Cornish, whom he was linked to right around the
time his marriage to Witherspoon imploded (both have denied the romance
whispers). "They have been hanging out [again] since June," an insider asserts
to Us, which says the "Stop Loss" co-stars were spotted together at a Los
Angeles park on Aug. 5. "They were laughing," recalls a spy, "and obviously
enjoying themselves."
Kate Hudson's son Ryder doesn't seem to be lacking
male role models. Paparazzi snapped the long-locked tot, 3, receiving a
piggyback ride from similarly coiffed pop Chris Robinson as they strolled in Boston on
Wednesday with the actress, who is in town filming "Bachelor No. 2." The next day, Ryder was captured on the
shoulders of his mom's new man, comedian Dax Shepard, as they perambulated
around the city with Kate. And it was more of the same on Friday, with a
scruffy-looking Hudson and Shepard caught nuzzling while pushing Ryder in his
stroller.
Jennifer Morrison and Jesse Spencer were apparently serious when they said
they remain "very close" despite their nixed nuptials. USA Today reports the "House" co-stars turned up for
the Hot in Hollywood charity event a few days back and sat side-by-side as
they each won bids for artwork during a benefit auction. But Spencer kept his
cakehole closed when asked if their new pictures would share wall space, telling
the paper, "She's a great girl, but I can't say anything more." The fickle
flames, whose happy mugs are featured in the latest In Style Weddings issue,
reportedly hung out all night, downing beers and sucking on cancer sticks
together. Meanwhile, one of their co-workers says their decision not to spend
forever together has had no effect on the FOX series. "They really have never
brought their relationship onto the set to begin with," Lisa Edelstein tells
People, "so they're not bringing their breakup onto the set either."
Do Kathy Griffin's turn-ons include hirsute millionaires
who ride Segways? Star says the firm-faced "My Life on the D-List" funny lady
is seeing grizzly Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, whom she met last month after
he turned up to see her perform in Florida. Griffin divorced husband Matthew
Moline last year after accusing him of making off with $72,000 from her bank
account. "Kathy has never given up hope that she'd meet Mr. Right," a "pal"
tells the tab. "Hopefully Steve will be that guy."
