be watching next season
Sure, it's not even the end of the TV season, but that doesn't mean we can't
start talking about shows for next year. The networks are already picking and
choosing possible pilots for their fall schedules -- though nobody knows right
now which ones will actually make it to your TV screen.
TV's dirty
little infatuation with reality programming continues, but the networks haven't
completely jilted scripted comedies and dramas. Expect to see more family
sitcoms and "homeland security" dramas, plus new roles for familiar faces.
Check out some of the shows you might be seeing when networks announce
their line-ups in May:
Familiar
faces: Rob Lowe, Whoopi Goldberg, Charlie Sheen, Heather Locklear
and Alicia Silverstone are just a few of the stars taking on new
roles
Spin-offs
and remakes: Nothing succeeds like success -- oh, and talking
horses
Comic
relief: Quirky families and guys with mullets
Dramas: Anti-terrorist squads, futuristic cops
and Romeo and Juliet in L.A.
