J.Lo's assets? Plus, Tatu's power struggle

Hello! magazine is reporting that the posters advertising the new romantic comedy "Gigli" feature an altered version of J.Lo's bottom, which has been dramatically downsized.
The 'zine features a full report on the backside in question, showing an
image of the poster featuring a trimmed-down version of her famous bottom and
even a boost to her boobs. They also show a "real life" shot, which clearly
shows a smaller-on-top J.Lo with a definitely bigger bum.

So was she behind the reduction of her behind? Or was it the marketing geniuses that had their way with her image? While some reports claim that the actress is bound to be furious (a spokesman for the star has said, "I'm absolutely shocked. Who would ever think this could possibly happen in Hollywood?") others claim that it was J.Lo herself who was unhappy with her appearance on the posters.
A source who saw the before and after shots revealed: "Columbia's marketing division airbrushed her butt to make it smaller and pumped up her chest." And another movie insider confirmed: "Jennifer was unhappy with the photo and asked for it to be retouched."
But wait, there's more! According to one of my favorite rumor hounds, E!Online's Ted Casablanca, the latest dirt on J.Lo is that she may be preggers. How convenient. The tabloid fodder is just in time for a slew of Ben and Jen's 31 Flavors film releases. But despite the fact that the diva (who can strike terror in the hearts of hotel staffers) was spotted recently shopping at a Baby Gap in Las Vegas, Ted thinks the rumors of her having a bun in the oven are false. I guess in a few months we'll know. Let's face it -- they may be able to trim a few inches off her derriere, but hiding a baby is a tougher act.
Tatu's Trouble
It looks like yet another
gimmick group might bite the dust if rumors are true about the controversial
girl-girl act Tatu. Reports claim that the dynamic Russian duo could be
heading for a major break-up, and it's all because of a brutal power
struggle.
Word from behind the scenes reveals that Julia Volkova (the dark-haired one) is so unhappy she may walk away from the act, and Lena Katina (the other one) is upset over the idea that Julia's taken on the role of leader of the band. So much for that unconditional lesbian love.
Oh yeah, and speaking of that, get this ... despite their touchy-feely numbers that allude to the two of them being an item, they've reportedly argued over Julia's professional-karate-chopping boyfriend. Boyfriend? Hey, I thought this was a girl-girl kind of thing. What's a dude doing in there?
The Russian news service Pravda reports that the two girls became rivals after they realized they liked the same boys -- and since Julia has a steady boyfriend now, jealousy has reared its ugly head.
Tatu producer Ivan Shapovalov had this to say about the whole mess: "When it's hard, when things do not work, people often have a feeling to quit all that and go. This can happen to Julia too. Even if people do something together, they might always want to do something on their own."
Well, then, they better get their fake act together, because they're already set for a tour in Turkey, Hungary and Denmark this August, and their new album should be finished by the fall -- if they stay together that is.
Mandela's Birthday Request

African president Nelson Mandela is celebrating his 85th birthday July 18. In
addition to being a man who epitomizes the spirit of human courage and freedom,
he's also the guy who put the screws to George Bush over going to war with Iraq.
Perhaps that's why GW didn't pay a visit to the historic figure while in Africa?
Who knows. Anyway, that was yesterday's news, and today it's his birthday. So,
other than world peace, what on earth could Mandela possibly want for a present?
Apparently it's to work with "Lara Croft Tomb Raider" star Angelina Jolie.
A spokeswoman from Mandela's camp recently contacted me (of all people) to see if I could get a hold of AJ. She told me that they were very impressed with the work she's done to raise awareness of the plight of the world's refugees and wanted to see if she'd be involved in the Nelson Mandela Children's Fund.
Sounds like a great idea, right? Well, I did my part and contacted her manager to let him know the offer was out there. So far the Mandela camp hasn't heard a word, and time may be running out.
While I hate to be a messenger, I also have no faith in managers, agents or publicists, so if any of you MSN gossip readers out there see Angelina in your daily adventures, please tell her to contact Mandela's people ASAP; they're waiting for her call.
