Kino's third volume of avant-garde and experimental cinema, from the Collection of the George Eastman House and the Raymond Rohauer Collection, is another eclectic set of shorts featuring the early work of Alberto Cavalcanti ("Rien Que Les Heures," 1926) and Dudley Murphy ("Danse Macabre," 1922), two surrealist classroom films by Sidney Peterson ("The Petrified Dog" and "The Lead Shoes"), Charles F. Klein's 1928 "The Tell-tale Heart" and Lettrist founder Marc'O's 65-minute "Closed Vision" (1953), among others. Fifteen films on two discs, plus bonus shorts and excerpts.
