Actor Thomas Gibson has been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
The former "Dharma & Greg" star ran into trouble in the early hours of Sunday morning when he attempted to drive through a part of downtown Los Angeles that had been sectioned off for a half marathon running race.
Police officers pulled over his car and asked the actor to take a breathalyzer test, which he allegedly refused, according to TMZ.com.
Gibson was then arrested on suspicion of misdemeanour DUI and taken into custody at shortly after 1.30am (local time). His bail was set at $15,000.
There's no point in rushing to judgment. He isn't a criminal until he's convicted of something. Just because he was arrested doesn't mean he's guilty, and just because it was for suspicion of DUI doesn't mean he was under the influence of anything. Let's wait for the outcome, shall we, before we call him a criminal. P.S. Police carry a small, portable breath analysis unit called a PAS device. The person is not obligated to take that test. It is a tool to help the officer decide if his blood alcohol level exceeds the legal limit. Once arrested and taken into custody and offered a test - which will be used for evidentiary purposes - then the subject is required by California law to submit to a test or lose their driving privilege for refusal. So far, this case is a long way from decided.
If it were not for Dharma and Greg no one would know who this guy is.
I liked watching Dharma and Greg it was funny and clean.
