The London Suede have evolved a lot since they burst on the scene. I can listen to this CD over and over again. There are so many elements to it. It has rock tracks like Elephant Man, it has some space pop elements like Hi-Fi, and it has a a general feel of britpop mixed in there all over. If you had to own one London Suede cd this would be the one to have. Was this review helpful? I felt like less of a man after hearing this crap. I think they should make a new genre called sissy rock. Chamber Strings could head the list. Was this review helpful? This is complete crap. Bring back Bez and the Happy Mondays. I didn't mind a couple of songs on this CD but most bands are supposed to evolve, this sounds like the same stuff he was doing 7 years ago. Do us a favor Mr. Ryder go start hitting the crack pipe again and make some 24 hour party people music. And what's with the horn samples? God this is annoying. Was this review helpful? It is horrible, I can't believe a record company would put out such junk. Save your money, warp an old Pink Floyd record in the sun and listen to it on an old turn table and you will have the same experience as listening to this band. Was this review helpful? I became an instant fan after seeing them live at the Beachland Ballroom in Cleveland. Thier F you attitude rocks. They don't take themselves seriously like other bands in their genre. Punk is not really dead at all Jello, it just went to sleep for a while and woke up as the Hives. Was this review helpful? They are probably the most underated band on the face of the earth. A lot of their stuff is pretty much shoe gazer rock, but they really get into it on Everybody Wants to Know and add some shoe gazing music. Buy this CD and then buy the rest of them because they have yet to disappoint. Was this review helpful? No, I haven't heard the whole CD, but I wouldn't want to. This is so bad, words cannot describe how bad this is, weak drums, 80's metal? Is this Poison? Wait, Poison is even better than this crap. This sounds like the band that played in the bar scene of your favorite 80's movie. You know the one. The band that dressed all punk but sounded like a bunch of sissies. That is this band. How this is on the Radiohead sounds like station? Was this review helpful? Total T-rex, Head Music is probably a better release, but this is the one that turned me on to the London Suede. It has some tracks that rock full on and other ones to just to trip to. Good stuff. Buy it used somewhere. Was this review helpful? Sign In 1-8 of 8 Per Page |
