it's always funny when a new superhero movie comes out and people complain that it wasn't directed by sophia coppola and starring meryl streep. i loved the movie, loved the first movie, will love part 3 also most likely. this is for ADULTS like me who grew up loving transformers and dreaming of the day my robot pals could look real, as opposed to the awful gen 1 animation of my childhood. megan is even hotter than in the first, the action is way more intense, including some pretty brutal robot-on-robot fatal moves, and there are a lot more bots than in the first film. my 9 year old son was borderline too young, he loves TFs, but he got a little squeamish here n there (because even tho we know it's just CG robots, the little guys take it a lot more seriously) so, overall, not as good as the first- just because i'd never seen anything like the first at the time- but a solid flick of hotties, laughs, OH WOW moments and giant robots kicking the crap outta each other. if you want more than that, look elsewhere

it was pretty much what i expected. she's the big will farrell fan... i like him but, meh, this was funnier when it was called 'talledega nights'. and 'old school'. and that other (unmemorable vehicle) he was the same character in. that said, it was funny, and different in that it wasn't 'kicking and screaming' or 'semi-pro'. right? right? not a total loss. with a buzz and/or the right group, it'd be ok. she and i were almost alone, so no crowd feedback always hurts stuff that's meant to get big reactions. and, not a criticism of this movie alone, but enough with the 3rd grade gross crap. dog sperm, dog crap, cat crap... i mean there's only so many excretions from so many animals you can see a close up of someone eating before you just run out of combinations. and it got not funny the very first time, so EVERY movie since has just been grasping for a shock value i just don't get. thses darn kids today.. i love to love movies, but i wouldn't bother on this one. even she (the farrell fan) said she'd rather have seen tropic thunder again. ditto, times a zillion. my worst slam is that you've the seen best scenes in the ads.

my lord what a bunch of whiney pricks. go watch 'the piano' again if you so desperately need a movie to make you feel smart. i have NEVER in my life laughed so hard in a theater as i did in this movie. as for you "smarter than everyone else" types, im glad you are able to feel so bloody superior. prove your backhanded f**kery to us by showing how $@#%ing the fun out of everything is not only your forte, but an avid hobby, and you can do it with such self-assured, imagined superiority to those of us who like a good laugh. i went in as a fan of stiller, black, and downey, and left as an avid fan. my head still hurts from laughing, and my shirt was wet for about an hour from drying my tears on my sleeves so i could see. not sad tears, or oh, this movie touched the part of me that only my drunk uncle touched before.... i laughed so hard i cried for the whole film and almost choked on a raisenette when tom cruse danced the first time. i mentally went back thru my library of stiller films, and re-watched 'somethng about mary' just to make sure i could confidently say this was the best stiller film ever.

try some lemon and honey, batman. gotta wonder (i don't really wonder) how many stellar reviews were written by tween chicks who know nothing of batman or dark knight... just soooooooo hot bale and now-that-he's-dead-i-always-loved-him ledger. reminds me of the chicks who never heard of jim morrison til kilmer hammed him up, then ran out and bought 'best of the doors'

im shocked to see all those 1 star reviews.... maybe they killed a spotted owl during production and theres an organized effort to trash a great spidey flick. ive loved spidey and x-men since i was a little kid- and this trilogy brought spidey to life. the actors are perfectly cast, the stories are true enough to the comics to sate this fan, and theres humor, romance, loss, temptation, redemption... i took my 7 and 15 year old sons, and there were a lot of shocked looks, suprised laughs, and wow-did-you-see-thats... id say its the most family-safe of the three the fight vs. goblin in 1 and the train scene in 2 were pretty heavy for little kids- this one isnt nearly as brutal. as for the reviewers trying to tie this movie to political correctness and male feminisation.... yikes.... i think youre revealing problems that you shouldnt be laying on poor peter parkers shoulders.

my sons and i loved it. there was a lady in our row laughing so hard she was crying. i really dont get the bad reveiws some folks have written, it almost seems like they saw a different movie- i really didnt find anything offensive (standard fart humor aside) i thought it was very funny, not too preachy, fast-paced and steve carell stole the show. but i like the cookie... there are a few stunt sequences that are clever, with a nice wait-for-it kind of pacing.... everyones voice fits the characters. all around thumbs up.
