First, the good: great effects and superb acting. The bad: This movie was far too long. It could have easily been done in under 2 hours. I didn't like the many biblical references in this film. It's a disaster film, not a film to promote Christian ideas. Very little plot, flawed character development....I feel it was a waste of money. I would recommend getting it from Netflix. That way, if you hate it, you can just turn it off and you haven't wasted any money. As a side note, my 13 year old son did like the movie.

This movie is amazing! The animation is incredible with wonderful attention to detail. Visually, it's a joy to watch. I think it's worth watching for that alone. The 3D was also very good. I suggest seeing it in 3D. I don't think this is a movie for small children. Younger children might find it scary. It's rather dark, and stays true to the story(there are a few deviations, but they enhance the 3D experience). If you don't like the story, you won't like this movie. Jim Carrey was perfect in the roles he played! He really brought out each character and made them unique. It's a heartwarming story that never gets old. It's comforting and cozy.

I didn't know that this movie was filmed to look like an old documentary/news footage. It appears that this film is set in the 80's or early 90's (judging by what the cast is wearing). It's like watching raw footage and interviews, not an actual movie. I think it had the potential to be an excellent movie, but it fell short. Very short. I was alternately bored and frustrated with this movie. The ending is AWFUL. You can tell they ended it so that they can make a sequel (which I will NOT be watching). It's almost like it had no ending. No loose ends were tied up. Waste of money!!!

I love Rob Zombie films! He's just started his career as a filmmaker and so far his track record has been excellent. Very innovative horror. Not so with Halloween. It just fell flat. About halfway through I was so bored I wanted to get up and leave the theater. I stuck it out though. It was sort of interesting how he tried to show the audience why Michael Myers became what he was, but there was too many holes in the story. In true Rob Zombie style he delivers gore. Sometimes a little hard to watch. His wife, Sheri Moon, plays Michael Myers' mother. She's hot even when she's cast as a tired stripper working to support her kids. :-D I like how he puts her in all his movies. She's gorgeous!

This movie was basically true to the show. Funny, but only in certain parts. We could have done without seeing Barts parts. Wasn't necessary and was basically disgusting. This movie was okay. If you like the show, you'll like the movie.

It was torture to sit through this movie. It wasn't funny. The first two Shrek's were excellent, but not this one. Just goes to show how movies really start to go downhill when they keep making sequels. Not even my 10 year old son or his friend liked it.

Posted: 3/26/2007A review of Dead Silence by ConceivedAura
This movie was a good horror flick. I loved the elements of Old School horror films that the directors played around with like eerie fog, cemetaries at night, and the vintage hearse. Very cool. The movie keeps you on the edge of your seat without the use of intense gore. There are some disturbing images, but not just killing for the sake of showing the movie goer a graphic death. Must give a nod to the use of the puppet from the two Saw movies. That was a refreshing little aha moment. My sister said, did you see that? Um, yes I did. Im a fan of both Saw movies. Very cute how they put that in there. The ending will shock you! You certainly wont see it coming. I think it was pretty original.

This movie was good. Its raw and edgy. Im surprised that it got such a harsh review. One star? No, more like five stars. Its the type of movie that keeps you on the edge of your seat. It makes you think when most movies these days require no thought. It also leaves you thinking after you leave the theater. Jim Carrey does great as a dramatic actor. Im not a big fan of thriller type of films, but this one far surpasses most. Go see it and youll be pleasantly surprised.

This movie provides an excellent ending to the Saw trilogy. Jigsaw ends up getting the last laugh proving hes crafty all the way to end. There were twists and turns to the plot that you didnt see coming. I enjoyed the fact that the movie wasnt predictable like so many horror films are. I think all three of the Saw movies are a welcome addition to the horror genre. They make you think and arent just filled with gore as so many horror movies are. Refreshing.

I dont understand why people are giving this movie bad reviews. It keeps you on the edge of your seat. It does what movies are supposed to do....entertain you. Its a thriller with plenty of twists and turns in the plot. You want to see what happens next. Bad ending? Um no. He just gets his in the end. Bet you didnt see that coming!

Im sorry I rented this movie! What a waste of money. I dont understand the good reviews. It was so boring I stopped watching it about three quarters of the way through. The fashion in the movie was okay. In fact, that was the only good thing about this movie. Unfortunately, fashion can only carry a movie so far before you turn it off or fall asleep.

I took my 10 year old son to see this movie at his request. We both loved it! Its funny, family oriented and has a good message at the end. Ben Stillers character wants to quit and not follow through numerous times in the movie. In the end he does the right thing. He doesnt give up and hangs in there. That sends a postive message to the kids that see the movie. I highly recommend this movie for family movie night!

Posted: 12/3/2006A review of See No Evil by ConceivedAura
I thought this was a pretty good horror movie. It ended up having a small plot, which is better than most B horror movies. At certain points in the movie you end up being able to sympathize with the killer. Overall I was pretty impressed. It was gory, but not extremely gory. Not gory at all like The Texas Chainsaw Massacre The Beginning. Now THAT was gore! Jeremy Wheelers critic review is ridiculous! He obviously does not understand the horror genre. Certain horror flicks arent meant to be taken too seriously. Seems like Mr. Wheels might take HIMSELF too seriously too.

This movie has eye candy galore for the ladies. A huge cast of hot actors! My date liked the action part of the film. I dont think it was very good though. Although, I wouldnt have seen it unless my date wanted to. Its just not my type of movie.
