It was the first one of its kind that I had seen at least. The concept is very clever. The whole movie is basically just animation, no talking. There is a soundtrack with it that gives the movie an even more fun twist. Most people might think that a movie without dialogue is stupid but while watching the movie, you hardly notice that the characters arent saying anything because their actions say it all. After all, actions speak louder than words. The first time I saw this movie, I kind of spent the whole time just looking at the screen in puzzlement but when it was over, I realized that this movie is brilliant! Definitely worth the watch! The special effects were very realistic! I loved the way this movie kept you on the edge of your seat the whole movie. I kept wondering what Lisa was going to do next to try to get out of the situation Jackson put her in. I loved Lisa because she saved the day, although in a subtle way so you didnt guess from the beginning that everything would turn out alright. Jackson had me captivated because he was so charming, but also very creepy. He drew me in like a moth to the flame in love with his charm but knowing that he was bad and was meant to be avoided. Something I would advise to the viewer is to watch this movie all the way through once, and maybe even a couple times more if there was something that you were unsure about but then definitely watch the movie with the commentary because although I didnt quite catch all of the commentary, it definitely gave me another perspective of the relationship between Jackson and Lisa. When watching the commentary I suggest just having the commentary subtitles on and not the audio commentary simply so you can hear what the characters are saying at the same time as getting other information. This movie is definitely worth while. I have watched it several times. Although after the first time, the ending is not a surprise anymore, I find that I continue to pick up details that I missed the previous times I viewed it. Was this review helpful? Ive watched it five times and the fifth time was the time I finally got over my fear of it. All of the other four times I still got scared even though I had memorized the plot. The fabulous thing about it is that you think you know who dun-it but you are so wrong. The twists and turns will keep you guessing and the mysterious ending makes you want to know what will happen next. One part that is forever haunting is the poem I was going up the stairs and met a man who wasnt there. He wasnt there again today I wish, I wish hed go away . And right after the screen goes black at the end, there is the sound of a heart thumping which still sends chills up my spine. This was the first horror movie I saw and it has set the bar high for any other movie that calls its self horror. Definitely worth the watch!! Was this review helpful? And that is the rating on this movie. Its rated R but since it is now out on video I had my mom rent it for me since I am only 14 so if anything you would think that I would be the one being scared if it is supposedly too scary for anyone under 17. I even checked the reasons for it being R. I think it was Language, Sexual content, and probably scary themes or something to that effect. The only reason why it was R that I could see through viewing it was that they said the f-word twice (which automatically rates it R) and that Paris Hilton parades around in her underwear. Other than that, even the gore wasnt too bad for 13 year olds to see. I know for a fact that if I was 17, I wouldnt waste my time on this flick if I was looking to be scared. It's amazing how well it was planned out and directed, living proof of the saying "actions speak louder than words" because the whole story was completely understandable. This movie was funny mostly because of the obiece dog and obsessive compulsive grandmother. The animations and characters looks were funny too. It's a major shame considering how I was looking forward to that feeling where I too wanted to rob something. My friend just saw this movie, hoping it'd be as intriguing as Ocean's Eleven, and brought the bad news. I don't know, I will have to see it for myself but there is no way in the world that I'm wasting $7.00 on this shady movie. I'll have to wait for the DVD which I'm sure will be out soon as I'm sure it really isn't worth a couple more months at the box office. Thank you for reading, and good night. Was this review helpful? I mean it's sorta like the feeling you get when you are about to get a new piercing. You know, you want it but you don't want to go thru the pain. That's how I feel about this movie. I want to see it but I don't want to be awake night after night for months too terrified to blink. I saw the preview almost 3 weeks ago and I still get scared. I know it won't ever happen but it's disturbing to even think about. Maybe I'll rent it after I'm married and have my boyfriend with me at night. Well good luck if you see it. This movie made me cry so bad. That is excellent when it is a made-for-t.v. movie especially when it is on a youth's channel. This movie was happy and sad. Most of you already know the sad part so I will explain the happy part. I thought it was happy when the dad played catch with Eddy. I really liked this movie a whole lot and I really want to see it again. If you have a chance, you should check it out. It completly blew me away! I first heard about this movie in March or April and since I had only heard of it once, within a few weeks I completly forgot about it. But when I heard of it again in May, I became obsessed!! I had a plan. I would go see it on the 9th of June (the day it came out) but I couldn't go. I was so SAD! No movie has ever made me sad becuz I couldn't go see it the day I wanted to. Anyway, I have seen it now and I LOVE it! The storyline is EXCELLENT and the acting is WONDERFUL The way the actors acted made you believe every single thing in the movie! Orlando Bloom did a GREAT job as Will Turner and Johnny Depp played an EXTREMELY GREAT pirate! I recomend this movie to anyone and everyone! From the moment they met to the moment they broke up to the moment they got back together, I was hooked. I am in love with Ashton Kutcher's acting and most of all, his looks. He is hot and great in this movie. If you haven't seen it yet, I totally recomend it. It is a fun movie that doesn't require thinking which is great for a lot of us out there.
