It stays very true to the book and with that comes a VERY rated R movie. Two elderly folks in the theater left in the first ten minutes which is understandable. It is so true to his books that after you leave the theater it stays with you for quite some time. I won't ruin any of the movie for those who haven't read the book, but even if you don't enjoy parts of the movie, it's worth it to stay until the end. Was this review helpful? I saw this movie in the afternoon so there were only five of us in the theater. Within the first five minutes two left. Ten minutes later another left, leaving only two of us. It is a brutal and violent movie but very entertaining and well done. The first of the two films is much better, but the second one is good. From beginning to end, over the three hours, if you like this type of movie you will be thouroughly entertained.
