So when I went to see this movie, I was not sure if I really wanted to see this movie but I did with my friends. But......... this movie is like mixed with "The mummy" and "The fly" and was not scary AT ALL. Good for me, but for the people who wants goose bumps, instead, you will laugh... I have been laughing whole time, instead of screaming.......... Was this review helpful? Sign In 4 out of 4 users found this helpful  FANTASTICO!!Posted: 12/29/2003A review of The Last Samurai by PucanPie I was so excited to watch this long-waited movie as a Japanese. This film was way better-than-expected (Even though I have expected it as a very good movie) and the act of Ken Watanabe , very respectable Japanese Samurai actor, was marvelous dispite of his lukemia history. He has been suffering from it for over 10 years but somehow in US, his condition is hidden. When I heard about his illness in early 90s, I thought he will die and I can't see his acts anymore and I was so sad. And despite of all the money problems he recently had (because of his wife's over investing ), he is back as a hero. He is a true survivor and I am hoping that he will receive the oscar.
