If you are a TRUE fan of the Alien or Predator series then you will know the back story of the species that are battling for survival in this film. To those of you who have seen it, how many actually payed enough attention during the Alien movies to know who the chick was at the end?
A few well placed lines from the previous movies, "Get to the Chopper" not far off from Arnold's historical line from predator, but none the less well played. There were some dark scenes yes BUT this is an alien movie, not that predator wasn't dark it just had more color!
They did stick well to the movie cliches that most everyone knows that watches any movie,
1. The black dude always dies first. Well maybe not the very first but out of the teenagers
2. The less clothing the better the movie. Only true for about a min and then it's killing time. Hey atleast she's hot!
3. Monsters are always bad ass and they never die the first time they get shot! If you shoot it with a plasma cannon and it doesn't die run away or shoot it again!
and finally but one of the most important:
4. There is always and i repeat ALWAYS some kind of government organization or High level CEO}Exec. who is willing to put human life at risk for BIGGER guns or Better Technology!
With all those out of the way, there is only one thing to say. If you are a fan then go and see this movie. It kicks ass! It's LOADS better than the first AVP.
Oh and there is not a gay ass scene where a predator gives the human girl a stick with an alien's tail attached and an alien head for a shield and they TROT merrilly down a hallway to go kick the big bad alien's ass! THANK GOD!!! Was this review helpful? Sign In 1-1 of 1 Per Page |
