All reviews by user Date  Helpful Rating 2 out of 6 users found this helpful  Thot critics were harsh, I WAS WRONGOK first of all the acting was mediocre.<br>There are big names in this movie, Halle Berry, Sharon Stone, Benjamin Bratt... all people familiar with the business, familar with acting and playing good roles. After all doesnt Berry have an oscar to prove it. I cannot tell if there was some kind of jinx, if the type of acting was intentional or if the roles were just badly written but the only thought that came to my head was, no offence, Dumb. That is the only way to describe their acting. what went wrong??<br>Second the plot of the story, I think was a bit uninteresting and all over the place. It wasnt a nice neat unfolding of events. Everything just happened... Wam Bam Thank you M'am.<br>I must also say that at first glance, uptil the last glance of the Catwoman suit, disappointment and disapproval filled my mind. The suit was awful... it really was. The open toed shoes for one was kind of off ( although I did not really notice this at first). But the suit on a whole could have been better designed. Maybe a whole piece instead of the two piece she had or something else:S:S<br>However<br>To compare this movie with Gigli is, I think a bit harsh in truth (ok quite harsh) but to say that this movie was great and maybe even good.. would be, in my opinion, a lie. FunnyThis is an excellent... a wonderful portrayal of a boy who is simply different... not being able to fit in... being branded strange. It takes these problems every human has gone through in their life and crafts it into a wonderfully touching and fun story. It shows us that its okay to be ourselves and to live life to its fullest. that its not always about how you long you spend on earth but what you do with the time spent.<br>Kudos to the big kid ... Sign In 1 out of 1 users found this helpful Five stars is NOT ENOUGHPosted: 2/15/2004A review of Philadelphia by oulani I have seen this....not movie...but masterpiece several times and each time it touches my heart and makes me want to say two words in patois to those employers.<br>i do not have t mention how fabulous tom hanks' performance was ....after all he won an award for it...antonio banderas is sooo cute ...i want to hold him and never let him go...they are the cutest gay couple ive ever seen...with a genuine concern and caring...denzel....mmm....beautiful... how he captivates me in that court room ...particuklary when he uses the mirror to show the lesions and when he gives his speech...praised by andrew...that this case is not only about aids but homosexuality. this movie is not only informative and entertainging...but a work of art that will continue to touch all who watch it...five stars and no less...if only there were more Was this review helpful?
