Keep in mind I am a fan of Philip K. Dick so my veiw might be slightly skewed. The movie is the first adaptation of one of Dicks novels that really stays true to the book and keeps the overall feeling of maddness that characterizes most of Dicks work. The animation is extremly well done. Although the movie could have been done without it, it adds so much to the experience. The strange drugged out conversations are present but some of the more poignent ones are left out. ( If id known it was harmless id have killed it myself is in there but its out of context). The acting was pretty good. Even Keanu didnt screw it up (i guess the only thing he can act as is a burnout). Overall id say it was a great movie and even the people who i saw it with who had never read a Philip K. Dick book liked it. Was this review helpful? Sign In 1-1 of 1 Per Page |
