Bob Dylan would have been much better.I'm doubting that theyll include Inman talking to the blind man because movies based on books always leave out the small yet important roles to make way from pretty boys like jude law. In exactly what universe does he look like a southern deserter with a neck wound that hasnt bathed in weeks and has been through hell and back? Read the book before seeing the movie. Hopefully they didnt butcher it as much as they did Grapes Of Wrath or Lord Of The Rings....but if youve never read the book and love jude law, renee, nicole,or if your an avid White Stripes fan, Jack White, youll love this movie ~.^
**Diclaimer!**this id based on opinions!I havnt seen the movie, and i like the white stripes!
~Clare J.age 14~ Was this review helpful? Marion just wants money for her shop and Harry and Tyrone go sell on the street. yes, the plot is great, and the acting is great. but thats isnt the best part. THE DIRECTING WAS ABSOLUTLY ASTOUNDING.so well done. the split screens, the delusions, the use of colour and drama in just the right places. I didnt believe i could find a film better directed than "Pi" but I did. granted, its the same director...but meh.
brilliant.amazing.astounding.be autiful. dark.twisted.deep. are all words that people have used for it. some people may pass it off as boringor 'stupid' obviously dont understand it. dont listen to them, they probably liked Gigli.
~Clare,15~ Was this review helpful? I'm an over analizing stickler when it comes to movies. it all has to be great. the music, the use of language and colour, the cinematography, the actors. but this was great. they wouldnt be able to find a better Seymour if they tried and Thora Birch was fab. Now, normally I hate books turned movies(well, this was a comic book, but im sure you get the gist and nub)the ending is fabulous and leaves you begging for more, and the extra characters you dont really notice to much are hiliarious. like the kid in her art class that keeps getting his works broken or the hick in the quick mart, and the art teacher is so strange its great. thank god i dont have her as mine.the sound track is beautiful. this film is just brilliant. screw renting it, BUY IT ALREADY!
~Clare J. age 15~ Was this review helpful?
