Very bad acting, stupid story line, didn't even finish my med size popcorn, took it with me and ate it on the drive home, which was more enjoyable than watching that garbage film. Total waste of money. Was this review helpful? SJP ( So Jane Plain ) is by far the most butt ugly female actor currently working in Hollywood. A good movie would be, who this horse head looking woman slept with to get to the top. Love the sound, this band and all their rcordings are jems if you can find them. Was this review helpful? The Sax player was the only member of the band to play himself in the Movie, if you ever see it listed on late night TV watch it, the sound is what moves the movie not the corny dead eddie plot ! Buy the DVD and play it and your friends will say Where the hell did you find that! I want it ! Was this review helpful? JohnCafferty and the Beaver Brown Band, who wrote and sung all the songs for the Movie ( Lipped by Michael Pare as Eddie Wilson ), had a brief fling at the big time via the Movie & Sound Track. They were one of the very cool rock bar bands of the 70-80's doing the east coast. Only the Sax man from the band played himself in the movie, and although supposidly Eddie's best friend never had a word to speak, and they killed him off. Cafferty's music can still be had via EBay and the hard pounding rock with the Sax front man makes people think they were a Springstein copy, they are not, they were the king's of this sound. Second movie I have ever walked out of in my 55 years of movie going. Did view it long enough to finish my popcorn however ! What a dud. Was this review helpful? Only movie Henry Fonda ever made where he is a bad guy, and in this film he is really nasty. The scene where Jack Elam entertains a fly that lands on his face is worth the price of the film alone. And of course, It has something to do with death ! Was this review helpful? Peter Gallaghar's portrail of the inner grief one suffers when something like this happens, was chillingly true. the movie did make me realize that it was time for me to move on. This one was just tooooo close to real life for me. A must see for any guy who has lost the love of his life. Was this review helpful? Sign In 1-9 of 9 Per Page |
