This was the first Kevin Costner movie I had seen (in fact when I first saw the movie I didn't even know who he was, and I kept thinking ";who is that good looking guy in the naval outfit?";) and now I don't miss a Kevin Costner movie. Gene Hackman is an excellent supporting actor. There have been many times in my life when I have used the line from the movie ";Good thing that's not a bullshit detector, or none of us would get in."; Great action, suspense, intrigue.
