Thanks to the release of I Love Rock & Roll. And for a little Christmas cheer her version of Little Drummer Boy was great. Then there was that great cover tune Crimson and Clover. (Tommy James and the Shondels) A sweet song with real Joan Jett grit. This is the album that turned this (at the time 11yrs old) punk rock girl into who she is today.(a concert promter and artist) The timing of this album was perfect for young girls/women to realize that rock & roll wasn't an all boys club. A good mix of her old stuff. Joan likes to mix previously released songs on ";new"; albums with new music she's come up with. This one has a couple of good cover tunes on it as well. Joan Jett is the queen of great cover tunes. A good sounding album although highly over looked when it was released in 1992. Was this review helpful? It's a classic now for any Melissa Etheridge fan. Occasionally, is a great little back beat. Just Melissa and the back of her guitar. Who says you need to strum the thing anyway. Not her, because this one is great even with no strumming. Bring Me Some Water is a great tune with gritty vocals and dirty guitar. While, Watching You, has all the simplicity that really makes a great song. It would be impossible to pick a favourite song from this album but if I had to I'd have to say Chrome Plated Heart. Even though most people would probably pick; Like The Way I Do or Similar Features. As we all like to think we've ";been there";. All and all a great rock & roll album. Was this review helpful? It pretty much encompesses her live shows although this isn't a live album and not every song that she does on a usual set is on the album. You need to see a show to get the full on experience. The album definately has the songs the average Joan Jett fan wants to hear. It's definately a must have. Was this review helpful? But, doesn't she pick the best ones? I think so. This one came out in 1988 almost the time I had forgotten about Joan Jett. It renewed my faith in chick rock. I Wanna Be Your Dog - done by Joan Jett was even better than many other version I've ever heard from the Stooges to Sid Vicious. With so many great songs on the album it's hard to pick a favourite.
