I am talking here about Kdman and Law. Not only love and passion, but it turns into an immediate sexual act without even developing the relation between them to a point where sex is at least a natural outcome of that relation. Movies like this one are absolutely ridiculous because they don't spend enough time, albeit important time on seeing a relation progressing between the main characters of the movie. I think that this is crucial and important to do, so that viewers can have a sense of time and place and a gradual understanding of the build up of relation between the characters. I have to see a progression of events and/or relations between characters to really appreciate and understand the full scope and the full message of the movie. Was this review helpful? Sign In 1 out of 1 users found this helpful  Super, Shocking.There are almost not enough words to describe Feinnes performance in this film, absolutely astounding, spectacular performance. I have seen very few actors in modern cinema who can do what Feinnes has done. This movie digs deep into the mind of a psychopath, the mind of a tormented soul and a secluded person. Feinnes character is the product of the Western industrial society's psychological decay and psychological isolation, at its height. I felt serious sadness and guilt to know that someone else in the world lives a life similar to the character portrayed in this movie. Think of all the people who's Feinnes characterhe came into contact with in the moviw, they are all socially troubled, they are all missing the right social formula or perhaps missing something in their personalities, they are all lacking confidence and full of fear and shy. The film sheds a light on a serious psychological problem in the West. For instance, one out of every 20 people in this country suffers from some form of schizophrenia, though it may not be in the severe case like this film. Cronnenberg film is a must see for those who look for complex movies and need to know anything about the tormented life of people with multiple personalities. Just think of the lonliness and isolation, or the deprivation of the character that is portrayed in this movie. <br>Reccomend: Three faces of Eve (Joanne Woodward-Lee J. Cobb- 1957). Everyone else in the movie was okay except him, he was missing with bad acting. He looked stupid in the movie. Movie would have been fine if another actor is in the lead role not Tommy Lee.!! Hope to see more movies like this. There is a habit in Hollywood movies where the star of a movie is always having marital problems, divorced, separated, widow or whatever. Complicated movie not because it is difficult to understand..not at all.....but complicated because of the 360 degrees change of heart by one man. I mean did that happen because of his hatred to his boss, or because he really loved the Samurai culture, because logically technology and modern state warfare must replace archaic forms of fighting. But the American hero is impacted emotionally rather than practicaly. However, I understand the movie is about fiction and Tom Cruise. Was this review helpful?
