I did not appreciate the overused profanity, but I got the message. It really was not just about being bored and celibate or being directed just at wives. This movie had some pretty eye opening messages in it for married couples, and yes, there are many struggles these days in most marriages, but as long as you work at it, it is really a beautiful thing. What my husband and I got from the movie is about appreciating what you have in one another and having good communication between each other versus assumption and speculation. This movie covered many marital aspects across the board and it is a good conversational piece as well. Kudos Chris Rock, I think you set out to do just what you did, get our attention! I had a friend who did view this movie and from what he told me, it sounds like another typical Caucausian male save the day or world or whatever his agenda is. Not trying to make this racial, but you know, it is what it is. Hollywood, the producers of this movie, and the majority moviegoers, you know why this movie is scoring high in the theaters. Its depicting the same old same and its blatantly right in your face. Look at the dialogue (typical John Wayne one liners), look at the dark hues of the enemy, Persians, and how they and their leader got punked out. Come on, a man that is a half god, give me a break!! Everyone who is writing in with your five star reviews about how entertaining and awesome this film was, really take a deep look of what is driving your emotions and how you felt about yourselves, particulary young white males when you left the theater. Find yourselves, be yourselves and stop looking for the next great HOPE to influence or inspire you to be like them. Its not reality, its just an image. Wake up America!! Stop getting !@ed in!!!!!
