Well-written and entertaining movie, providing a new and fresh presentation. For those reviews complaining about historical accuracy, I believe the point of the film might have been missed. The movie is essentially being told by a Ancient Greek Spartan. The story weaves in classic Greek mythology, and is exaggerated as such a tale might be expected (e.g., elephants are larger than life, the enemy is barely recognizable as human, and giants and minotaurs fight along with the Persians). The story is not suppose to an historical representation of what actually happened, but rather a recreation of how a Spartan would tell the story of the fight. And from that point of view, it is probably very accurate--though in the end obviously fiction. Definitely worth watching. The first view minutes may leave you wondering what you turned on, but continue to watch--once you have adjusted to the format, and understand how the movie is being related to you on the screen, it is well worth watching.
