All reviews by user Date  Helpful Rating 2 out of 2 users found this helpful  Human & SuperPosted: 3/30/2003A review of Superman: The Movie by Johann_Ladd Trying to be as faithful to the comic book and at the same time making it relevant to the times (those times anyway) and appealing to a broader audience -- Superman: The Movie, was able to pull it off and create a whole new genre of super heroes crossing over to the big screen.It has also successfully humanise and make more interesting an otherwise cartoonish, comicky and previously-seen as 'for children only' character.And do not forget that it made Christopher Reeve a superstar and a household name.
