Sign In 1 out of 1 users found this helpful Gozilla is greatPosted: 1/13/2004A review of Godzilla by dandelion_9493 The first time I saw this movie I was 7 years old and I got scared when the baby Godzillas hatched and tried to eat Nick and all the other people, but now that I'm 13 I can say that it's a terrific movie. I recently got it on dvd and watched it as soon as I got home from the store. It was worth my time! A pity about the Madison Square. Awesome movie though! Was this review helpful? Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful "Pirates" is a great moviePosted: 1/13/2004A review of Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl by dandelion_9493 Get "Pirates of the Carribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl" on dvd! I have it, and it is my all time favorite movie. The casting was great, the special effects were awesome (especially the curse of Barbossa and his crew), and everything was perfect for the story (which was amazing, by the way). My favorite scene is probably when Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) and Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) first meet and have the swordfight in the blacksmith shop. Or maybe my favorite scene is when Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush) blows up the Interceptor. Those scenes, along with many others, were very exciting. Another quality of "Pirates" that made it my favorite movie was that it wasn't your typical pirate movie. The pirates weren't traditional: they had no eye patches, wooden legs, etc. The pirates in this movie were more real. And Cortez's cursed treasure added an interesting twist that made the film even more special. I can't wait until the sequel comes out in theaters. Trust me, if you haven't seen "Pirates", buy it on dvd (or vhs-it really doesn't matter)! You will love "Pirates of the Carribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl". Was this review helpful? Jim Carrey is hilarious and charming as Bruce Nolan. Jennifer Aniston adds another success to her long list of great movies/tv shows/whatever. It was very funny! I especially loved Sam, the dog. I wonder how the people who worked on this movie got him to sit on the toilet! And I pity Bruce in the beginning...there is an "anti-Bruce barrier" that he has to get through. I am very VERY happy that "Bruce Almighty" is in my dvd collection. Was this review helpful?
