Great music is great music, heavy or soft....This is great billy talent, go buy it now! Was this review helpful? You got some jerk on here saying that they are anti american, no their anti bush, theres a big difference. Im not not into country at all, but i respect this band, cause they have a polical view, and they voice it, as they should. Noone seems to care about ppls political view until its different point of view, fact is many ppl are against bush, but yet love their country....These chicks are great for being themselves, any not letting some red neck yahoo american get them down. These guys are horrible, they look like everyone else, and sound like every other crappy emo band out there. I cant stand them, even their song titles are stupid, Cause its soo cool now to have longer than needed song titiles....Their look is whats popular now, the sounds, everything, and thats what #$%&s the most, most popular crap #$%&s, and this is the worse of all, this album #$%&s, and anyone who says its good is probably some 15 yr old acting like hes cool sht for liking this album, well ur not! Was this review helpful? Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful ppl call this their best cd, and ppl call this their worst cd, i think its neither, its just another cd that showcases nirvanas never ending styles of music. Like Kurt said they were the bay city rollers being raped by black sabath, and that tells you right there, pop and melody, mixed with sludge heavy music.....If you listen to bleach it was made to sound heavy cause Kurt said it had to sound that way to get cred in the underground, cause about 4 or 5 of the songs on this cd were around at the time of bleach, and he wanted this album to be poppy to reach to more ppl, and thats the thing, if u actually know anything about kurt is that he loved pop music and heavy music, he loved selling records but hated the unwanted attention, no matter how many interviews that he said he didnt care about how many cds they sell, listen to interviews before nevermind and he said many times, he would love to sell millions...but on to the record, its amazing, even though its a bit glossy over all, just like every other cd its amazing, but its amazing for different reasons than the other nirvana cds. so everyone can shutup about what cd is the best Was this review helpful? Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful I dont know whats wrong with this album, i bought it the weekend after its release, and i put the record on, and listen to the whole thing, and i felt uneasy for some reason, sounds like pennywise, its good pennywse, but something is missing here? its almost like they have done everything in the genre they are in, theres nothing new, nothing amazing, its just good..... Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful Posted: 3/6/2006A review of No Straight Angles by F1VE5X everyone who likes punk should own a No Fun At All cd Was this review helpful? Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful Posted: 2/28/2006A review of Page Avenue by F1VE5X This is a good album, but its kinda boring in another way, cause its just another emotional scream-sing album that seems to be a huge thing at the moment....Pretty boys with shag haircuts singing about loosing a girl, and i hate the production, John Feldmenn from what use to be the great band Goldfinger produced the album, and any band he produces ends up with the same sounding production, especially the annoying snare drum..... this band could of used less slickness, but like i said this is whats popular.....Too bad, cause u can lump this band with a hundred others Was this review helpful? Sign In 1 out of 1 users found this helpful Posted: 12/10/2005A review of Hypnotize [Explicit] by F1VE5X This is a pretty good album, not perfect, reminds me of toxicity, being that its more frantic of an album....Though like mezmerize Darrens singing annoys the hll out of me....I think there was better songs on mezmerize, but this album is more consistant, no crappy Hollywood songs, Blah!.....But if anything bugs me the most is that fact that all the music could of fit on one cd, the whole point of a double cd is cause theres too many good songs for an 80min cd, both cds clock in about 72mins...i know they say theres a point for this, but when i could of paid for only one and not two, it just makes me wonder, is it more about profit than actual artistic creation.....
