The most enchanting thing about this movie is that it is about an ordinary human being doing extraordinary things in difficult circumstances. It speaks to the human sprirt in each and every single one of us whether u came up from grinding poverty or not. Truly amaizng stuff I say. Go see it! Was this review helpful? Sign In 1 out of 2 users found this helpful  Really Good ActingPosted: 11/28/2007A review of American Gangster by Sandi703 In all accounts the movie is no Godfather or Scarface for that matter and I dont think it will go down as one of the "mob classics" but Denzel Washingtons performace is what makes the movie solid and worth watching. He really jumped between the complexities of his character with great ease and made it look soo natural. He deserves an Oscar for this. Its an Okay storyline which lacks in some parts but its Denzel who take the prize home. Im not even a big fan but he is all that i really remember about this movie. Go See it!
