It wasn't terrible, but not good either. Obviously meant for brain-dead viewers, I felt there was nothing in it. But if you like That 70's Show, then you will most likely enjoy this film. When I learned of the movie being made I was instantly interested. However even as I saw the previews I was disappointed. The Hulk, as he did his various battles with the mutated dogs and the military, throughout he looked like a computer animated character. Totally fake. You would think that there could be more realism, but no. Still, I saw the movie and was simply bored out of my mind. The first half hour was uninteresting introduction and it seemed that it was forever until the Hulk apperared. I also found the characters acting a failure. Lots of times sequels can fail miserably but not here! The action, plot and characters were all well done. You can be sure to like this film from the commando attack on the mansion to Cerebro's theft to the destruction of the underground base where Wolverine was created... Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful Spectacular show!Posted: 5/20/2003A review of The Matrix Reloaded by Falcon0970 I was waiting in total suspense from the second I sat down in the theater for a tremendous motion picutre and for the most part I wasn't disappointed. The spectacular stunts/special effects were of course terrific and the plot, whilc complicated if you don't pay attention kept me riveted. Neo shows exactly why he is supposed to save the human race from the machine race. Now I did have a problem with the neverending prologue in Zion. I enjoyed seeing what the place looked like but they really overdid it with the longwinded philosophy, and that neverending sex scene was completely unneccessary, obviously meant for people lower on the evolutionary ladder. I also felt that the French guy talked way to much and should have simply got to the point. Despite these negatives, once it movie got going it was time for you to wait breathless for the next scene. The scene with the Matrix's designer was insightful of what the Matrix was and the choice Neo had to make. While his choice was a foregone conclusion, the seriousness of the Herculean weight on his shoulders in not in doubt. The movie's ending annoyed me of course but that is all right. Cliffhangers just leave you something to look forward to, and those who criticise this are simply impatient. Simply, while it is slow at the beginning and has unneeded sex, once it starts to move you won't be sorry you were there to see it, especially on the big screen! Was this review helpful? I was entranced the entire time never bored. Great story, acting wasn't bad and the humor added to the film in a great way. It does a good job of staying on track and not a bet dull anywhere in the film. It avoids getting stupid as these films can do, and just simply gets silly at times. There are of course a few parts that may be unbelievable, (besides a majic scroll) like the N^zi goons who chase the monk and his "apprentice" around along with the helicopter scene, but this isn't reality is it? The graphics are fun, taken from the Matrix of course, (isn't everything?) that really adds to it. Simply put, this is a film to watch. Was this review helpful? Bruce Willis is of course the right man for the job though I feel his rank seems low for MY tastes. This is a movie for action not acting so you need to like Willis and the films with shooting and explosions with an acceptable story behind it. I feel this was done so kudos. The entire movie is about a jury of 12 men who must decide if the accused is guilty of the crime. Yawn right? I was surprised when as the movie went on how I was really into it as piece by piece they took apart the prosecution's case and more and more jurors took the side of innocent instead of the single one. I believe that if violence isn't a criteria for a good movie for you, than this film would be an excellent choice to see. Was this review helpful? Acting, story are all in that area. I feel this is a movie that some may like and others will see it as a waste of time. A great actor like Robert DeNiro simply didn't have the script to work with it. It tried to come back with Joe Pesci's help but it just fell flat. For me, I find myself neutral in liking the film. I didn't hate it, but I didn't care for it either. Therefore I suggest you see it and decide for yourself, but I do believe that it will definately be a one-time viewing film. Not a serious film by any consideration it is fluff really, but you see Angelina Jolie in it which is always a treat. The story wasn't anything spectacular but it suits the movie fine. I was never bored with it. The problem I had with it was the acting was pretty terrible. The shooting, hatchets flying and cutting out hearts may give the movie spice but if the acting is bad what's the point? Simply I'd say see the movie once if you need to, than forget about it. The storyline was acceptable in my opinion, and of course the entire idea of the bad guys plan is farfetched. However, Jackie Chan's fight scenes were as great as ever, and some of the escapades were funny. So, trying to keep this short, if you liked the first one, or you simply like Jacke Chan,(can't be Owen Wilson can it?) than you'll want to check out this movie. Was this review helpful? Monty needs to put thins in order after totally screwing up his life. His last day spent with friends and his father is what he decides to do and it was certainly a very interesting experience for all. You really get to understand the characters by the end of the film, and while there are a few loose ends when the film concludes, it is still terrific. The ending really didn't surprise me that much and I doubt it will surprise you either. His other options weren't exactly good ones... Was this review helpful? Sign In |
