Posted: 6/10/2008A review of Sex and the City by disney252
My wife and I (yes I'm a straight guy who loves Sex & the City) saw this and we walked out of there satisfied. The movie was true to the show. Nothing was out of the ordinary and the storylines for all the women were fantastic. We get to see them grow and change in ways I never thought possible. What I loved the best though was in the beginning when Carrie is bringing the audience up to speed on where each woman started and what they have had to go through. This enables those who have never seen an episode the chance to get caught up before continuing on with their lives. I give this movie 5 stars because it was amazingly entertaining and so better than I had imagined. Heck, we may go see it again!

Indiana Jones has been and always will be my favorite character of all time. I thoroughly enjoyed all three of the original movies and was hoping to say the same about this one. Unfortunately, I, and the three other people with me, walked out utterly disappointed. (SPOILERS AHEAD) What started off great in the movie with an homage to the Ark of the Covenant, eventually spiraled downward. Here is what I found completely un-believable: 1) Indy hides in a lead refrigerator while being blown up by a nuclear bomb in the Nevada desert. He is thrown hundreds of feet in the air and manages to walk away without a scratch. 2) The villian (women) was not believeable as a villian at all. I actually found myself laughing at her throughout the movie. She tried to hard and I couldn't take her serious. 3) Mutt swinging on vines? Come on. Not believable what so ever. 4) Aliens? Enough said. 5) The generic was of Indy findind out Mutt was his son. 6) Indy pulling himself our of a dry pit with a snake? Oh my gosh. You see, I don't recall Indy being put in situations that seemed utterly unbelievable as I did in this movie. What appeases to me about Indy is that he has searched for things that are real. Ark of the Covenant, Holy Grail, and religious stones. The storyline of Aliens was unbelievable and not in true Indy fashion. The movies missed it's "booby trap" moments that were so prevalent in Raiders of the Lost Ark, Temple of Doom, and Last Crusade. I am so disappointed and I have yet to speak with anyone who actually liked this movie. Many people are waiting for it to come out on DVD so as not to waste the money in a theater. This one will not be added to our Indiana Jones collection.

This movie definitely caught me off guard. From the amazingly real accident to the sudden shock moments that caught me off guard. This movie had humor throughout and yet still maintained is suspensefulness. Everything was laid out well as I didn't leave the theater thinking they left anything out. The ending was not the type of ending that just ended abruptly like most movies do. It reeled you in and then threw you back out...sort of like

Posted: 5/29/2007A review of Shrek the Third by disneyland2552
Need I say more? We own the first and second ones and enjoy them thoroughly. The witty comedy and simple storylines were played out well. Unfortunately for the 3rd Shrek, we can't say the same. I left the theater feeling empty and not remembering anything worthwhile from the film. Gags were overplayed (the Frog Prince dying) and music was improperly placed (Artie and Shrek on log with Merlin). Some gags were funny but more than not they weren't. What they could have done was go without the storyline of Arthur and the Pregnancy and just focus on Prince Charming trying to take the throne away from Shrek. It would have been simple just like the first two. This movie is not worth the money and I would wait to see it on DVD.

I saw this movie at a screening last night and found it very slow. The previews make this out to be some fast paced thriller. There was no thrill and there was nothing fast-paced about it. Even the score to the movie was slow. There was a storyline which could have been completely left out, but I did anjoy Anthony Hopkins character. He did a superb job and I loved his witty personality. This movie will not make you jump or bite your nails. It was good, but once was enough.

Posted: 12/13/2006A review of The Holiday by disneyland2552
I went to this movie thinking it would give me an hour and a half of laughs that I would forget after walking out of the theater. Boy was I wrong. I was blown away by this movie. Here are my reasons 1) Character development was outstanding. We were able to see the characters grow - I enjoy this for the fact that this hardly happens in movies 2) They left nothing out of the story and didnt add more than they needed to the story - I left feeling like I didnt get stiffed on the story 3) The Children - ADORABLE 4) The Old Man - Absolutely a wonderful part that did not need to be put in the movie, but definitely gave us another character to love 5) The storyline is wonderful. Who doesnt want to find love only to be hurt. This will be a movie that I will be adding to my collection. Oh, and one more thing......My wife loved the movie just as much....yeah, Im a guy who LOVED this friekin movie! Definitely worth seeing again!
