VERY BIG LIZARD running ramped through a major city and destroying almost everthing it touches - a true classic setting.<br>The first time I saw this, I was in AWE ! This Godzilla monster is a little different not only in appearance, but also in mobility. This new version has Godzilla moving a "little" bit faster which makes for some very exciting scenes.<br>I loved the first appearance of Godzilla when the old fisherman is running for his life off the dock, the umbrella scene as well as the part where the cameraman almost becomes toe-jam.<br>Why someone feels the need to try to place a LOVE STORY in movies of this nature is beyond me. In my opinion, it is absolutely rediculous.<br>Although I must say, the acting was terrific. The actors were quite believable and brought a real sense of humor to the screen. I particularly thought the French guy's character was the best.<br>Don't be afraid to purchase this one folks. This is a true winner. I have the DVD and have watched it at least 8 times.
