There are times in all forms of art when a piece comes along that re-defines everything in that genre of art. Movies are no different and Fight Club is the greatest movie ever created. Ive seen this movie more times than i can count. Im horribly biased towards this movie and it says a lot of things that need to be said in the world we live in. The direction, story, characters are all fantastic, but they all take a back seat to the deep seeded social and metaphysical philosophical messages in this movie. Nihilism being the common theme with an odd but happy twist of utilitalitarianism. For those who dont know, basically that means, destroy everything and live blissfully in the anarchy that follows. This is simply the greatest movie ever made, the first rule of project mayhem is you do not ask questions, now get out there buy this movie or rent it and watch it at least 15 times, once youve got that down, yer starting to scratch the surface of this movie and youll want to see it again and again.

Ok, this movie for the most part is a total piece. The concepts in the movie were cool, the characters were intruiging, but that little thing called motivation seemed lacking. No characters seemed to have any emotion or ambition, they just were. Making reactions for no reason at all. Maybe if this movie was another hour long, and could have added in some substance as to why Mr. Grey wanted to destroy the world, why the guy under morgan freemans character seemed so willing to disobey his commanding officer and wasnt a little more suspect to telepathic readings. I mean one scene hes like ";shapeshifting aliens read my mind shoot them"; the next its like ";this guy reads my mind, maybe i should jump ship and follow him accross the country";. As far as this movie goes, im horribly critical so id give it a low score, but in the vast sea of modern drivel that is our cinematic experience i guess its not too bad.

I love this movie, ed norton is such an awesome actor and robin williams is so talented its not fair. I love the chemistry between sheldon (norton) and nora. Their conversations at least when used in the context of a childrens TV show, is so funny! Robin making penis cookies is classic...3 words ITS A ROCKETSHIP!!
