There were some parts that were genuinely funny and entertaining, but the animation was so distracting that it made it hard to really decipher where the scenes were going or how they all connected. The character Arcter (Fred) was also very hard to figure out. Just when I thought I knew him he would become someone else. Im guessing the film just didnt have the time or depth to really develop who he was -- the book probaby did, but I havent read the book.
