There were too many close calls and too many effects, distracting from the film. It was kind of like a video game, i didnt really get to appreciate what i was seeing or the scope of it all. Some of the humor and profanity was a bit over the top for kids but i enjoyed it. The special effects were very good, and enjoyed the characters. I think the voice acting was much better in this film than the first. I loved the characters, bringing back some of the ones from the cartoon such as Ravage, Soundwave and Devestater. It was a bit hard for me to be excited at frist but by the third act i loved it. Was this review helpful? Not for kids definitely. It was very dark and i liked the timelines and depth of the characters. Not your average superheros. I liked the gore and adult tone, not for everyone but i enjoyed it. Very well made, all of the actors did very well. Heath Ledger will get the supporting actors nomination and will more than likely win. Best superhero film of all time, perhaps best movie of the year. At first it was hard for me to get over the fact it was a musical but after a while I adjusted. Johnny Depp can do no wrong as an actor, and the supporting cast was very good. The downfall to it which is more and more common in newer films is, the infected or zombies were computer animated. What ever happened to the good old days of having actors and not computer people? I think it moved along too fast, it should have been longer. There was no character development or a real story. The effects were amazing, and the real feel of being alone in the world was done well.
