More in the suspense mode than the slasher genre that some are suggesting.Cusak is terrific! I especially liked the last 10 minutes. Whoever tells you that ";one character"; did it -- just doesn't get it. Was this review helpful? This one works and is worth your 8 bucks. Was this review helpful? No plot just a sad life. Well someone wasn't paying attention.Sure Nicholson portrays the emptiness of a man's life who never really lived. Sure Kathy Bates does a 'brave' topless shot in the hot tub. But the movie is about finding meaning by caring for others -- the adoptive kid in Africa. The fact that Hollywood made a movie promoting the value of helping the poor is pretty amazing. This movie is profound! Was this review helpful? Sign In 1-5 of 5 Per Page |
