Posted: 5/16/2003A review of The Matrix Reloaded by Anonymous
This epic saga has hit the movie with the second running film and audiences are asking for more. Perhaps not because it was the greatest theatrical performance of all times either. The Matrix Reloaded is obviously packed with special effects and additions to the well-written and extensive story; but do audiences appreciate it? While the majority of this movie is easily understood, there are several parts that will have you shrugging your shoulders. Complexity and awe seem to go hand-in-hand with this film. The special effects are refined and the martial arts are far more superb to that of the first Matrix movie. Keanu Reeves, Lawrence Fishburne, and the rest of the team have also improved their mistique and dark looks that now seem so classic of the Matrix ensemble. This isn't a movie for everyone, but if you're into the Matrix and the story as well, this is a movie for you.

Posted: 5/17/2003A review of Jurassic Park by Anonymous
Jurassic Park is a true film to inspire the mind and soul of the child to rejoin with the adult. By bringing dinosaurs back to life the great entrepreneur, John Hammond (Richard Attenborough) takes a great risk with his world-reknowned company and more importantly, his life. When achaeological researchers come into the park (Sam Neill, Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum), things go terribly wrong, and the real nightmare happens. The dinosaurs are incredibly recreated and the story is quite originally recreated from the Michael Crichton. This is a must-see for any dinosaur lover or science fiction fan.

Matrix is the film of the times that will make you think twice about life. The plot is so complex and valid, it will make you question if it's story is real. The special effects and stunts in this movie are orchestrated extremely well and the acting is compelling. Matrix is the film that all audiences should see whether they love science fiction, like it, or hate it. It is worth at least one viewing.

Posted: 5/16/2003A review of Pearl Harbor by Anonymous
Pearl Harbor is a tremendous and masterful cinema experience. The film, based on the historic World War II conflict, will make you feel as if you are actually there. An amazing cast, incredible special effects, unmatched directing, and sensational soundtrack are only a few of the mentioned factors that make this movie an all-time blockbuster. Finding words to describe how immensly superior this film is in comparison to others is a task all its own. Being a military buff myself, I found it near-impossible to miss a theatrical delight such as this, and I feel audiences will feel likewise.

Posted: 5/17/2003A review of A Knight's Tale by Anonymous
A Knight's Tale is an amazing masterpiece. It truly suprises me that this is not a Disney film. Heath Ledger makes an astonishing performance and with an "A"-list cast such as this, this film is hard to miss. A distinct humor luminates in this movie as the story of a pessant boy who strives become a knight brings a wholesome feeling of personal accomplishment that's hard to find in cinema these days. This film is most definitely a must-see, must-own.

Posted: 5/17/2003A review of The Lost World: Jurassic Park by Anonymous
The second of Michael Crichton's science fiction tales unleashed onto the silver screen takes the form of The Lost World: Jurassic Park. This original story introduces scientists to the island of Isla Sorno (Site B). At Site B, many of our old favorite dinosaurs are back in good form, and new ones emerge. As a new Ingen regime runs over John Hammond (Richard Attenborough), former CEO of Ingen, they also run through Site B, taking whatever specimens they can find back. Now it is up to a special research team (Jeff Goldblum, Julianne Moore, and Pete Postlethwaite), who happen to coincidentally be on the island at the same time to do something about it. This is a must-see if you appreciated the first Jurassic Park.

Posted: 5/19/2003A review of Lilo & Stitch by Anonymous
Well, the movie makers at Disney studios have done it again. Lilo & Stitch is a hilarious film about a genetic experiment (Stitch) going totally wrong and actually gaining a family (Lilo) in Hawaii of all places. This movie's comic antics will have you laughing for hours. Lilo & Stitch is most definitely a Disney film to own.

Posted: 5/23/2003A review of Mortal Kombat: Annihilation by Anonymous
Mortal Kombat: Annihilation is a rush. Following its predecessors path in the story of Mortal Kombat, Annihilation proves to be a contender in martial arts films. Sharing some of the same actors as Mortal Kombat like Robin Shou and Talisa Soto and some added company make this film a character contender as well. If you liked the first Mortal Kombat, you need to finish the story with this film.

Posted: 5/19/2003A review of Metro by Anonymous
Metro is the story of how a big-shot detective, Scott Roper (Eddie Murphy) cracks a hard case. Now, the convict has actually broken out and taken someone dear to Roper hostage. It's up to Roper to retrieve not only the stolen goods, but now to rescue his girlfriend and put an end to all this chaos. This is a well-played Murphy role and should be seen at least once.

Mortal Kombat is exhilirating. The film is based upon and follows the storyline of the world-renown video game. With an amazing cast including Robin Shou, Christopher Lambert, and more, it's hard to deny the acting experience. The martial arts are very well executed and the special effects are near top of the line. The soundtrack is also one of the top in movie history. This is a must-see, especially for all Mortal Kombat game fans.

Posted: 5/22/2003A review of The Cable Guy by Anonymous
The Cable Guy is hilarious. This has got to be one of Jim Carrey's best. The story is of Chip Douglas (Jim Carrey), a con man who pretends to be a cable repair man and intoxicates the life of Steven Kovacs (Matthew Broderick). All things go terribly wrong though, and Kovacs makes all attempts to maintain the life he has left.

Posted: 5/17/2003A review of Independence Day by Anonymous
Independence Day is one of those films that should have made the Academy Awards. This film is a theatrical masterpiece and offers hours upon hours of delight. Independence Day is the classic story about an alien invasion that terrorizes all in their path. It is now up to individuals like Marine Corps Captain Steven Hiller (Will Smith), President Thomas J. Whitmore (Bill Pullman), and David Levinson (Jeff Goldblum) to put an end to the chaos that has arisen. ID4 is unlike other lenghty films in that it is compelling at all times rather than having you wait for the exciting parts. With a talented cast, well-composed soundtrack, and amazing special effects, this movie should prove to be a major blockbuster for all times.

Posted: 5/23/2003A review of Out for Justice by Anonymous
This film is a rocket of a ride. The story is of a Brooklyn detective (Steven Seagal) and his search for his partner's murderer. Along the way, the Italians make it hard for the detective. The martial arts sequences are heart-pounding and the plot thickens with every turn.

Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring is fantastic. This film not only reintroduces the old tales of The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings, but does so in one of the greatest cinema experiences imaginable. The story is extremely complex and might require some previous knowledge, but for the most part, the tale is simplistic enough that nearly all audiences will understand it from the get-go. The rush received after watching this film is tremendous. With an outstanding group of cast members, thrilling cinematic experience, and a fully engulfing soundtrack, this is a must-see for all audiences whether science fiction fans or not.

Posted: 5/16/2003A review of How High by Anonymous
How High is an almost classic story about how African Americans can make a difference, especially when given the chance with a college education. You combine this with the antics of Method Man and Redman and you get a hilarious outcome. Yes, there is some drug use and adult humor in the movie that some audiences may not appreciate, but on a more general view, most audiences should have a hilarious time.
