I missed Jodie Foster in this one. Julianne Moore did a great job trying to reach up to Jodie, but didn't make it. The movie in it's self would've been alot better if they'd followed the book more closely. The best scene was the lovely brain eating one. It's where you get to see Dr. Lecter at his best. The ending bit and the plot was all screwed up. But since I'm a fan of Hannibal Lecter, I give 2 stars just for trying.

Hannibal Lecter has always been the master of getting behind your head. This movie's a way better remake of "Manhunter." Unlike in "Manhunter," I was able to follow the story.I did see it again in theaters, it was that good. All the actors did a great job pulling together such a great book into a wonderful movie. And if you haven't seen "The Silence of the Lambs" or "Hannibal" have no fear, this movie took place before them both. And as for "Manhunter" check out "Red Dragon" just to see how much it has improved.

Now this is the movie that got me hooked on the Lecter series. Of course, it's the first one. Antony Hopkins and Jodie Foster work great together. They brought the whole story together so well, that even Thomas Harris (writer of the book) would approve. The best scene is that of the great escape. It kept me thinking, "Where did he go?!" Great movie! Check it out!
