The ending was a little flat as someone else suggested but overall it was pretty good. This movie does make you think. Its no Matrix, but it holds it own. I think it draws a lot of similarities to the world we live in today. What will the Facebooks and Myspaces of today turn into tomorrow? Its anyones guess, but human nature is hard to deny. Do yourself a favor and see this movie, I know I wasnt too excited about it at first, but it really surprised me. A solid A-/B+. Was this review helpful? It is such a unique plot to have a guy looking for a best friend instead of a girlfriend. It was hilarious to boot. I really didnt feel they overused the F word or anything. John Favreau was a real douche, he played it perfectly. I like Jason Segel and Paul Rudd, they are a great team. They seemed real to life. This movie will make you laugh, it would be a great date movie. I loved it. Was this review helpful? It's not the same thing at all. As a matter of fact, this is more of a love story/drama than a comedy. Dont get me wrong, there are some funny parts in there. Most of them were covered in the trailer though. How many times can you see Friego punch James in the nuts? Seriously, who doesnt like seeing someone get smacked in the nuts? Its pretty funny. Anyway, its a fairly good movie, its got a good story, some comedy, but its pretty vanilla. Wait for it on video. Was this review helpful? The plot didnt really ever develop. The ending was sh*tty. There was a good deal of action though. Vin Deisel is good in the movie as well as the young girl and her guardian. I am not normally a big drama fan but this movie had enough of everything in it to keep my attention. The whole movie revolves around the cinematography. Most of the scenery is brilliant. Some of them look like they are done on set with CGI background. Drover and Mrs. Boss play off each other very well. A great story and cast. This would be a great rent for a date. The movie was pretty good. I would say it was very similar to "We Own the Night" with a few differences in the plot. Ed Norton is a great actor, one of my favorites. The whole cast was good. Very well acted, it looked very realistic. A lot more drama than action though. The director spent a lot of time developing plots and relationships, some of which didnt seem to come into play. Special effects are so smooth you dont even think about them being fake. Engineering is a bit far fetched but its based on a comic, who cares! Great acting. By far, the best Marvel movie to date. The way they left the end open makes me think there may be a fourth. I personally liked the way the movie was filmed. I think it says a lot for the direction of the film, it was very unique and it came through in the suspense. It was very suspenseful with great action sequences. The car crashes were unreal. I am a fan of all the Broken Lizard movies. This is the funniest of all. Dont take it for more than it is, a funny movie that is worth the admission and your time. Eat a DICK Lauren.
