From the commercials, I was expecting a good film with a surprise ending...instead I got almost a cliched excuse for an ending to a suspense film or story. Maybe it's just because I'm such a big King fan, and have grown to expect more from him. If this movie were say..20 minutes shorter, it would have been so much better. If you get the chance to see it cheap, go ahead but I don't recommend spending too much money to see something of this "quality" Was this review helpful? Sign In 1 out of 1 users found this helpful  Definitely a Must SeePosted: 8/25/2004A review of Cold Mountain by KillTheEmos First, let me just say that this is not normally my kind of film (period drama or romance), but I absolutely loved everything about it. Well acted, well written, well directed. Just overall a truly great film. There are so many characters in this film, all contributing something different but equally as entertaining.
