Posted: 6/30/2007A review of Ocean's Thirteen by Chris_Pat_88
I loved so many of the small components which made this film so enjoyable. Three things in particular: 1. So many famous actors, but they are so good at what they do, you forget who they really are. At the same time, once in a while the script will include small references to the real world, like in Ocean's 12 where Tess talks to Julia Roberts on the phone. And both Tess and Julia have husbands named Danny! How sweet! 2. The very 60s feel of the film. Everything from the lighting to the design of the hotel to the wooden blinds on the plane windows in the very beginning of the movie. I love when a movie is set in one period but has the essence of another. Ocean's pulls this off very well because they also incorporated very modern technologies without losing the 60s-ness. Kudos on that. 3. I love noticing small things in a movie that producers probably hope viewers will catch, but they don't want to make it too obvious. Ocean's 13 made several references to Frank Sinatra, and as few people may know, he was the original Danny Ocean. This is cool because Ocean's 11 was a movie from, probably uncoincidentally, the 1960s. Very cool.

Posted: 4/12/2007A review of Salem Witch Trials by Chris_Pat_88
I never saw this, but I hope the guy who wrote the synopsis just guessed what happened, because The Crucible is way different than what he described. First of all, the Putnams have only one daughter, Ruth, and Tituba (not Titubea) is the Parris servant, not the Putnams. I only read half of the MSN summary, so I dont know what else they butchered, but The Crucible is such a great story, and is factual, so if you watch Salem Witch Trials without knowledge of what really happened in Salem in the 1600s, keep in mind that it is only entertainment. Read The Crucible if you want to know what really happened.

SPOILER ALERT.... This movie is so bittersweet, I love to watch it, and always hope that Michael will choose Julianne over Kim, but I still love the ending and cry every time. The only part I cant watch, and the reason I took one star away was the scene in the restaurant where they all sing that Dionne Warwick song (MariaM, its The moment I wake up....Before I put on my makeup...I say a little prayer for youuuuuu). It makes me cringe for some reason I cant stand corny stuff in movies. But other than that I think this movie is fabulous and George is so awesome I love him.

to 48andknowbetter ok, if you find violence, drugs, gore, sex etc. offensive, then read the rating of the movie before you go see it. Save your money for Happy Feet and Meet the Robinsons, because you obviously have the maturity of a child. Which reminds me, you said that this father brought his 7 yr old to the movie when he should have known better....well obviously that means he should have known about the r-rated content, and so should have you, so dont complain about a movie you cant handle. Stick to Disney.

I was confused when I read msn.coms review for this movie. They gave it four out of five stars, yet the man who wrote the review basically said it was garbage with no plot. Isnt 4 out of 5 supposed to be good? This movie ed, by the way. I feel bad for the respectable, credible actors who took part in this movie.

I dont see why some people are wasting space in this REVIEW area shouting at each other for being close-minded and sociopathic. We all have our own opinions. So save the arguing for debate club. MY Review Rent is amazing. The music is awesome and I love the song Maureen and Joanne sing together (Take Me Or Leave Me). Kudos to Mr. Larson for creating such a controversial play and to Mr. Colombus for making it into such a great film.

I love this movie so much, it's so powerful. Jason London is really adorable and I must find it somewhere so I can buy it and have my friends watch it. I would watch this movie over and over again until I knew every single line of every single scene-and then I'd watch the entire movie again. An infinte number of stars, the best movie of it's kind.

Ok, this movie deserves more than one star, bacause I was pretty into it...until the end of the movie, of course. I won't give anything away, and I'll let you be the judge of whether you want to see it or not; my only suggestion is that you see it at a cheap theatre. After the end, which was totally lame, I realized what a waste of my time it was. Really, my only satisfaction was that I went to a small, local, very cheap theatre, and din't waste twice as much money at another theatre I usually go to. This was also a VERY short movie, like 1 1/2 hours. Although the previews have a better chance of winning a Grammy, there WAS an unexpected twist near the end of the movie. Two of them, really. You would probably figure out the twists if you had read a certain book right before you saw the movie. The title sort of gives it away, so unless you have seen the movie, stop reading.............the name of the book is called Running Through Time, or it's called Running In Time. I wondered after I saw the movie, if M. Night Syamalan had based his movie on this book. It didn't mention the book in the previews...W/E.
