The latter'snovel ends with Clarice becoming somewhat of a convert for Lecter's habits especially doingin Paul Krendler, so much so that she seducesthe Doctor psychopath and becomes his wife/mistress. Hannibal the movie ended verydifferently as did the first version of RedDragon "Manhunter".
