Every song is a strong point. Evans Blue kind of came out of nowhere this Spring but I can assure you that any alt. rock fan will not be disappointed with this CD.
If youre a comprison person, Evans Blue sounds a lot like Chevelle (w-o all the screaming), Dark New Day, Story of the Year, Breaking Benjamin, Ra, Submersed, Trapt, Thornley Was this review helpful? Led by lead singer Chris Volz, formerly of Flaw, FBM delivers a star performance here. With Volz using the full extent of his vocal talent and range to compliment the awesome melodies created by the rest of the band. Volz does more actual singing in this work than in either of the Flaw albums, especially their self-titled debut. With this shift, I believe, a more mature music has developed and shows itself in Venting. Hopefully Five Bolt Main will be able to gain more mainstream success than Flaw could, and this album will be the launching pad for more great works to come. Was this review helpful?
