This, self-titled album by The Gufs was not their first album by any stretch, but it was their first commercially successful effort with major distribution. This album put them on the map through increased radio spins of singles "Smile" and "Crash (into Me)" in their hometown of Milwaukee which subsequently attracted attention to the band in other markets. Kanye West is an Unbelievably outstanding rapper....and I don't even listen to rap!
My love is rock & roll, but I picked up his album after learning of his credentials as a producer. Well...this album lives up to all the hype. Kanye did not bring home 3 Grammys for no reason.
