What i found was a little shocking but very enjoyable..though not quite as hard as the first album. I dont think there was any fat to really cut on The Sickness. That album is just an aggressive kick in the ass. This album does have some hard spots and yes it still is kinda metalish...but it seems to lack the aggressive energy that The Sickness sported in spade. No i dont believe Disturbed SOLD OUT. Do I think maybe they were trying to go for more maturity, yes. Yes they did achieve maturity at a price of energy though. Ive said it before and Ill say it again, 10,000 Fists would have been a MUCH BETTER follow up to The Sickness. If only Fuzz would rejoin Disturbed.....SIGH. I give this album 4 out of 5 stars. A SOLID effort though a departure to what made them Disturbed in the first place. If youve never heard Disturbed before but like Rock-Hard Rock go out and buy this cd you wont be dissapointed. If you have The Sickness and are expecting a replay of The Sickness on Believe then you WILL be dissapointed. Was this review helpful? If you want Disturbeds best ever album buy this and let it kick your candy azz left and right and up and down. Classify it what it is its Metal and damn good metal at that. David Draimen was intense on this cd and fuzz and Mike and Dan all did more then their parts to combine for a MONSTER SOUND that doesnt ever grow old and die. we are over 5 years departed from when this cd came out and it still sounds fresh and brand new every time i listen....standout songs.....Voices, The Game, Down With The Sickness, Stupify, Fear, Meaning Of Life, Droppin Plates, Conflict. And yet this WHOLE cd will kick your azz if you let it. If you dont already have this cd and are a metalhead then id advise you to RUN not walk but RUN to your local music store and plunk down cash money to buy it NOW!!! Do it now before Ozzfest 06 where Disturbed is headlining the main stage alongside Hatebreed. While your there pick up 10,000 Fists and let the anger wash over you. Dont be a pansy, JUST DO IT NOW! Heavy, and hard yet full of meaning and enjoyability not found in Cannibal Corpse LMAO. Cannibal Corpse was old when it was brand new LMAO. Sorry Jason but i think you really need to GROW UP and GROW SOME BALLS. And btw, incase you didnt notices Slipknot is Platinum whereas Cannibal Corpse never was. Anyone that likes Metal of any sort including Nu Metal should pick up this album and listen to it. I can honestly say I enjoy Killswitch Engage more then most of these new bands except for oh say Slipknot or Mudvayne. Just dont get me started on avenged sevenfold or fallout boy. x. stay freakish everyone. Was this review helpful? Whatever man. Nic is a good guy though but hes a lil misguided in music but anyways. What we have hear is 2 guys from Slipknot branching off into their own little Hard Rock group called Stone Sour. Stone Sour is also a drink name and the beverage from personal experience is very intoxicating. So is this whole cd. i cannot find a song on the album i hate or dislike even. i love all the tracks. Corey Taylor is genious on legs man. plus he can belt out songs like no other. I love Slipknot and Stone Sour both equally. the only depressing thing is Slipknot is breaking up after this last tour whereas Stone Sour will probably live on. well hopefully they will live on. if Slipknot and Stone Sour could both coexist then life would be perfect. they arent even in the same musical classes but on both fronts Corey Taylor and Jim Root succeed briliantly! Perfection achieved. Was this review helpful? Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful Posted: 3/16/2006A review of Dysfunction by admiral_ramsfan Feel angry? Feel down? Feel like hurting someone or something? Pop this disc in your player and ride the tidalwave of emotion. I have yet to hear ANY staind song i hate! Each album always speaks of raw true to life emotion. Aaron Lewis knows how to write killer songs. Staind has grown into a true to life band that is always real with what they say. Dont knock it till you try it. 9 songs of Hard Rock that will leave you thinking WOW. Personal favorites Suffocate, Raw, Mudshovel, Home and A Flat. Was this review helpful?
