What can I say? This is 60's/70's schlock at it's finest. Anyone into really bad horror parodies is going to love this film. Keep an ear out for Price's shakesperean delivery of his tale...almost as incredibly emoted as Dr. Phibes. As long as you go into this movie not expecting anything other than what it is, you will love it. It is hysterical.

Posted: 5/20/2004A review of High Anxiety by S_A_Mouse
Critics bashed this movie when it was released as sacreligious. After all, how can you parody the master Hitchcock??? Simple give the idea to a genious like Mel Brooks and turn him loose.

In his spoof of all that is Hitchcock, Brooks created a wonderfully compelling comedy that flows seamlessly from one Hitchcockian theme to the next. All with a great cast that only Brooks can get the most out of. I personally feel that this is the most underated comedy to come out of Hollywood since Harold & Maude.
